Wonderful Holiday

A top class hotel: everything we could want: clean, brilliant food (served by excellent Maggie), beautiful garden + the 4 included drinks each day were appreciated. Entertainment on the first 3 nights was superb, especially The Reflections (Karen and Steve) who we could have listened to all week. Our driver Gary was top class also; a pleasant man + very safe who told us interesting facts but didn't overdo it. Great trips too and the sun shone almost all week :) A well-managed hotel indeed!

Fantastic Holiday

I have just returned from the most fantastic holiday. The Hotel was superb, 1st Class. The food was amazing, especially the delicious puddings and the braised steak was mouth-watering. Special mention to Maggie our waitress, she was so efficient. The Shearings drivers were brilliant throughout and so informative. The rooms were very comfortable and so clean. I would recommend this hotel to anybody. I will definitely be returning. A truly wonderful holiday. Thank You Shearings.

Excellent Break

We really enjoyed our five day trip to the Isle of Wight, everything from the ferry crossing to the hotel was very good. The staff at the Broadway Park were all friendly and most efficient, a special word of praise for Martha, our waitress throughout our stay.

Enjoyable Weekend

We have just come back from a brilliant weekend with Shearings from when we got on coach until we got of we all thoroughly enjoyed it. We would like to all say a big thank you to Brian our driver he was really good and on the two trips we went out with him were most enjoyable. The staff at the hotel were very pleasant from the reception staff, waiters and bar staff. The food, rooms, entertainment was all really good, we have been to this hotel before and will be going back again.

A Great Holiday

We enjoyed a seven night self-drive holiday at the Broadway Park in July. We loved the holiday, assisted by friendly staff, good food and facilities, a comfortable room and two very funny entertainers. A special word of praise for our waitress, Maggie, and for the reception staff, but we found all staff helpful and attentive. Our only hassle was when our paid-for parking space was taken by someone else for the last two nights. We would certainly like to make a return visit.

Mxed Review

Good points: hotel comfortable, important things clean(e.g. beds, bathroom etc.), plenty of space in public area (even though 5 coaches and 20 cars there), lovely gardens, swimming pool ok for cooling off (we were lucky, had hot weather). Coach driver, as always, friendly and helpful. Bad points: we had a very noisy room (116), above entertainment area. Not able to move as hotel was full. Driver, as most S. drivers are, suffered from verbal diarrhoea (sometimes "less is more"!). Would go again, self drive.

Brilliant Holiday

What a beautiful woodland setting with red squirrels. It’s quiet and very peaceful and was the making of our holiday we were very surprised as the photos do not suggest this. Our room was tastefully decorated along with the rest of the hotel, the food was excellent with very friendly staff who were always eager to help. This hotel had plenty of space on the ground floor. We were self drive and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Many thanks to all, another brilliant shearing hotel with good value.

Dreadful Holiday

Shearings are failing in their duty to warn people of the huge amount of time wasted by the awful feeder system for coaches. We took 12 hours from leaving home in West Yorkshire to arriving in the BP Hotel partly due to a 2.5 hour wait in Normanton I/change. Similar on return. Hotel dull, badly in need of big makeover. Pleasant, helpful staff. Food average. Good 15 minutes walk to beach. Even though weather was brilliant would def NOT recommend this holiday. Did we go to the same hotel as the rest of you?!

Pleasant few days at the Broadway Park Hotel, Sandown Isle of Wight

Just returned from our self drive holiday at the Broadway Park. Pleasant newly refurbished room with French window onto flower filled garden. Extremely helpful and efficient staff, particularly reception, waiting and room manageress Angie. Food varied and filling and some drinkable wine! Only sorry that the only red squirrels we saw were on a postcard we bought in the town!

Very Good

Excellent hotel, very clean, all staff very friendly and wide choice of menu for the evening meal. We also liked the spacious lounges. Our driver Gary was so friendly and had excellent knowledge of the area which made this holiday so good. The only downside was we were not at all impressed with the UK holiday interchange - think you need a better one than where it is - not enough facilities to get a cuppa for the volume of passengers.

Great short break

Not sure of the holiday date (we do quite a few) but it was none the less a super holiday. The hotel is in a lovely location and the staff should be awarded medals. Also the food was first class. We enjoyed it so much we are going back again this year. Superb.

Great Break Away

Had a really great time at this hotel. The food was excellent and lots of choice and our waitress was brilliant, couldn't do enough for us. The different lounges meant that we could sit in another area if we didn't want to watch the entertainment and chat to new friends we made. The all inclusive meant we could all enjoy our drinks without working out whose round it was next! Very good value for money. Will try another holiday later in the year. Thank you Shearings.

Brilliant budget break

Just back from a lovely break mon to fri and enjoyed everything about the experience - clean and comfortable, nice food, good staff, driver Jim was funny and informative about the island couldn’t ask for a better driver. Have been all over the world and cruised and flown to many exotic places but enjoyed this break just as much. Well worth every penny spent. Will try to come back in the summer as such a lovely place. Well organised!

Second Time Around

Second Time Around. Returned from the Broadway Park Hotel, on the Isle of Wight yesterday. It was our second time this year. We found the Hotel wonderful, as we did with everything else. The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly, and I would like to mention our waitress Sarah. She was very pleasant and professional. But most of all Garry our driver. He was very knowledgeable, witty, and very professional. All in all. A very pleasant Holiday. Thank you everybody at the Broadway Park.

First time on the Island

Just had a fantastic 5 day holiday at this hotel. If you're expecting 5 star luxury then you're out of luck. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable - there's an excellent choice on the menu, that's well cooked and served effeciently - good entertainment - but the highest praise goes to Ian our bus driver who showed us and told us everything we needed to know about the island. Thanks once again.
