Good location for self drive

Overall a good holiday, excellent central location for many places in the North East. Staff were friendly, especially Brett - nothing was too much trouble and everything done with a smile. Some niggles about the hotel, no razor points in rooms (well at least in mine nor any of the other rooms the reception staff looked at to move me to). Restaurant service left a little to be desired, had to wait over 20 minutes from finishing main course to being asked what I wanted for dessert.

Good All Round Break

This hotel was ideal for the breakaway we was wanting. The food was excellent (always hot) and very good value for money. The All Inclusive option was also good value. Entertainment not fantastic but good enough for this type of hotel. Staff friendly and the buses okay Hope to go back next year to see the sights not seen this time around.

Good friendly hotel

The staff were excellent. The food was very good. The facilities were very good. The only let down was the state of the hotel. It needs some TLC and it will be fine. The floor boards were very noisy. You could hear people walking upstairs from the bar area. Apart from that you really could not ask for anything more. All the staff were on hand to help with any queries. Entertainment has to be mentioned which was good on both nights. We will return again.

First Visit

Hotel was good value, staff were very good. We had a nice large room at the back of the hotel. Food was better than we have had in other Shearings Hotels. The location could be better as there was nowhere to walk at night after dinner. We will return in future.

Value

Good all round value for the package that we paid for. Staff excellent. Dave Ferry (entertainer-superb). Food fully acceptable except for vegetarian options. So, the decor is in need of a makeover in the bedrooms but when you are away you do not want to sit in the room when there is so much beauty outside. Thanks to Shearings for a lovely break.

Excellent

We stayed at the Eden Arms Hotel over the weekend and into the next week. I would like to comment that every single member of staff was courteous, kind and committed to our stay being as pleasant as possible. We were in the area for family reasons at a very difficult time and we couldn't have chosen a better hotel. The food was excellent and well presented. I cannot commend this hotel enough.

Friendly Hotel

We went to the Eden for my wife’s birthday in March because I booked early got wine fruit and chocolates in room was a nice touch. Found all the staff pleasant and helpful .bedroom very nice and clean. Food was lovely. The pool was nice and relaxing not too busy. We. Didn’t see all we wanted to so we went back in April and the hotel didn’t disapoint. Staff just as helpful and they remembered us from first visit which is nice with the amount of people passing through. Would recommend hotel to friends.
