About Ship and Castle Hotel

Set beside the harbour, in an enviable position, the Ship and Castle Hotel is full of the charming atmosphere of nautical St Mawes and is an ideal base for a leisurely holiday. From this peaceful spot, with its winding streets and ancient Tudor castle, a short ferry trip (weather permitting!) is a lovely way to reach Falmouth and its range of interests. Delightful country and cliff-top walks are on hand, or you may prefer to take to the road and escape to a deserted beach, try your luck at sea angling, or cruise up pretty creeks and rivers. Whatever you choose to do, the Ship and Castle is one of the best equipped hotels in St Mawes for you to simply sit back and relax, and is a perfect complement to all that Cornwall has to offer.

As with many St Mawes hotels, The Ship & Castle Hotel St Mawes does not have a car park. A public car park is located nearby. (Parking charges apply).

Our most luxurious room option. All Premier rooms have a four-poster beds and spacious en suite bathrooms that have been beautifully re-fitted to accommodate both bath and shower options. These large rooms also have a comfortable seating area, a 32" flat screen digital television, hairdryer and the facilities to make a hot beverage.

All Premier rooms include same features as a Superior room plus:

  • Large Rooms with Comfortable Seating Area
  • 32" Flat Screen Digital Television
  • Luxurious Four Poster Bed
  • En Suite with separate shower and bath

Superior Room

Superior Room at The Ship and Castle Hotel

Our superior rooms have luxurious beds, flat screen digital television, and a spacious en suite bathroom with shower/bath. These Superior rooms also have the facilities to make a hot beverage.

All Superior rooms include same features as a Standard room plus:

  • Spacious En Suite with Bath/Shower and WC
  • Digital Flat Screen TV
