The Grand Hotel enjoys a superb position on the seafront opposite the Golden Sand Beach and offers panoramic views across Lyme Bay and the picturesque estuary of the River Exe. Exmouth holidays wouldn’t be complete without a walk along the promenade with its vistas across the estuary, while neat parks and open spaces lend an attractive appearance to the town. The Grand Hotel offers an ideal base to explore Devon.

This hotel only has a limited amount of parking spaces, these can be reserved at £5.00 per day. On street parking is usually available, charges apply

Our most luxurious room option, most of our Premier Rooms come with a four poster bed as well as a spacious refitted bathroom that accommodates both bath and a separate shower. These bedrooms will normally offer extras such as comfortable seating area, a 32 inch digital flat screen television, hair dryer as well as a hospitality tray.

Weekend Break

Spent a weekend at The Grand with my elderly mother and friend. I rang the hotel first for information and the staff were wonderful and helpful, so I booked at Head office. Booked a car parking space so not problem parking. Location idea. The food was very good, several choices and hot, the waitress was so polite, friendly and superb at serving the meals. Lounge area very specious, the only small complaint is that the rooms are a little tired. Excellent value for money though will be back.

Excellent Winter Breaks

This was our first stay in Devon, we had a very pleasant comfortable stay at the Grand. Our room was front facing, and has been recently refurbished. The best room that we have stayed in on any of our Shearing Holidays. Our thanks to all staff for making our stay with you enjoyable and relaxing. Also well done to Shearing the new room design and duvets are a big improvement for your already excellent value for money holidays.

Fourth Visit

Visited for the fourth time and was pleased to be upgraded to a sea view. The room was clean and tidy and had modern feel to it. The only let downs were the radiator which was not working although there was an electric heater in the room and the shower. The food was ok and the service from Laura our waitress was very good and nothing was too much trouble for her. The drinks vouchers meant that there was no queuing as this has been a problem in the past. Overall we had good stay and will be back.

Grand Hotel 19-10-12

We have stayed at lots of Shearings hotels over the last few years. I have to admit this is the best group hotel we have stayed at, the staff where great and really friendly the room was small but very clean and the bed was for the first time ever comfortable. Other than the issue with parking on site, you can park over the road at their sister hotel this is well worth a visit. Well done all at the Grand Hotel Exmouth you made our stay a pleasure.

Grand Hotel from 29th to 31st October

Stayed with friends for a short break. Due to a late booking, I was unable to secure front facing rooms and with some in trepidation, checked into our rear facing rooms. These, although small, were in excellent order, clean and comfortable. None of us could fault this hotel in any way. Will revisit but will book earlier to secure a front facing room.

Comfortable

Good weekend break! This hotel was, on first impression on entering, good and staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our bedroom, on entering, needed some attention to the decorating and this let the room down, but, all in all, very comfortable and clean with Tea & Coffee available, TV and hairdryer. Good selection of food and the restaurant staff very attentive and polite. We will revisit this hotel as I think it was good value for money although, I would like to see some improvement to some rooms.

The Grand

Yet another enjoyable few days spent at The Grand Hotel. This hotel is clean,warm and inviting. The staff are very helpful, nothing is to much trouble for them. The food is good. Lovely old seaside town, from where you can explore Devon from. Living just up the road. We haven't been disappointed once in our many stays, thank you to all at The Grand.

Enjoyable Exmouth

Hotel clean and comfortable. We had a twin room with a wonderful sea view. Had a 5 day trip with Shearings which included two trips. Food okay, always nice and hot. Must say the waitress service was good, they were the fastest moving I have ever seen. Worth a visit. Good value.

Weekend Break Grand Exmouth

The Grand Hotel Exmouth - stayed Friday to Monday, Weekend Staff and manger very attentive. Hotel very tidy and no complaints of cleanness, However like all 'Older Properties and hotels, some areas would have better appearance with a lick of paint. Food well presented, Hot and good, choice of options to suit all tastes, service could not be faulted when booking, I recommend paying the extra for a sea view hotel looks straight out to sea. Hotel well located for town centre, However bear in mind that at the hotel parking is limited but there are options like parking on street or at their sister hotel which is just around the corner 'entertainment' is provided all days bar Sunday, All in all very good weekend would return there again in the future.
