I really enjoyed it

I went on this 5 day trip 16th July. We were blessed with sunny weather. The hotel ( The Grand) was across the road from the sea and it was a lovely location. Our room was a twin, small but nice, but then we're only in the room at night. Food , not bad, plenty of choice and our waitress was quick to serve us and very friendly. My only criticism would be there were no ash trays in the garden outside where the smokers used to sit , hence they had no option but to throw their used cigarettes on the floor. These were never swept up, and by the end of our 5 day trip looked quite unsightly, especially for non-smokers who wanted to sit and take in the lovely view from the garden. Having said that, I would definately go again, our excursions out were just the right length of time in each place ( not to long or short) and our coach driver was always courteous, but could have spoke a little more about the places of interest. Finally, the interchange at Stretton was well organised but just added an extra 1 hour or slightly more to our already long journey. This would be the only downside to this holiday, and unfortunately would make me think twice about travelling with Shearings again.

Overall despite the constant rain, the holiday was enjoyable, but the room was quite small.

The room was basic and cramped. There wasnt draws in the furniture to place clothes. And the window needed a net curtain. The staff were very pleasant and helpful at all times. The hotel is situated in a good spot across the road from the beach. And it is only a short walk to the town. The food was excellent and a good selection. They coach trips were enjoyable with a cheerful and pleasant driver..

basic accommodation in superb location.

Rooms are relatively basic with very limited storage. Bathrooms are basic and generally extremely small. Hotel in superb location both for beach and town. There is a reasonable choice of good quality food and the restaurant staff are very efficient. Acceptable overall and fair value for money.
