A delightful break

Excellent hotel, our first coach holiday and everything was very good. We had read some reviews and had been a bit cautious about this hotel, however, we found everything to be excellent, staff friendly, helpful and efficient. Dining was good, breakfast plenty of choice and well-cooked if having the cooked breakfast. Dinner was table d’hôtel with plenty of choice, well cooked and hot on serving. Room was large, comfortable and very clean, really quiet, an excellent holiday altogether.

Memorable Holiday

Superb location opposite Charlecote Park. Memorable holiday at the Charlecote Pheasant during the week before Christmas for many reasons. Including a lovely warm comfortable room, excellent bar food and Andy's early evening tour of Stratford upon Avon to see the Christmas lights. Also, Reception staff very kindly returned to me a silver cross and chain which had been left in the room on departure. Another guest had handed it in so many thanks to all concerned.

We have been to nearly all the Shearings hotels in Scotland and a few in England and this was our second visit the Charlecote Pheasant. All your hotels are good but this one is absolutely superb. The manager and all the staff go out of their way to ensure that your stay is the best possible. We are certainly hoping to come back again and we would also like to mention Andy the coach driver whose courtesy and knowledge made it a wonderful break.

Return Visit

We have been to numerous Coast and Country hotels and felt the Charlecote deserved another visit, we have not been disappointed. Our premier room was outstanding and well worth the extra money. All the staff are helpful and friendly, we shall certainly come back again. By the way thank you very much for the complimentary wine chocolates and fruit.

3 day self drive

We returned from the Charlecote on Monday. This is the first time I have done a review but feel this hotel deserves it. We were in room 60 (across car park) It was spotlessly clean had everything we needed including tea, coffee and shampoo etc the room was large and felt pleased we did not upgrade. When we asked for extra pillows and milk at reception we were given them with no fuss. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Flag Ship

My wife and I have stopped in almost every Shearings Hotel, but this one, the Charlecote Pheasant must rate as the flag ship of the group. Surrounded by lovely countryside, the hotel is broken up into a complex offering some very good accomodation, to the very best. The service we received here was excellent, the food above the average for the Shearings and the comfort all that one could wish for. Do not take my word for it, see for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

4 day self drive

Good hotel, good food and comfortable rooms BUT lounge area much too small for the number of people, especially in the evenings. Also rooms in annex which is not good when it rains and you want the main hotel. Good value for the money.

Best In The Fleet

This is by far the best sheerings hotel we have stayed in. The standard room was clean, spacious, & well appointed. The staff could not have been more helpful & pleasant. The food was of a good standard & the whole dining experience was very relaxed. None of the rush rush rush of some Shearings hotels. Come on Llandudno & Rothsay buck up your ideas. There are no prizes for serving the largest number of guests in the shortest possible time. Thanks again Charlecote.

Second to none

We have just spent a week at this wonderfully comfortable hotel with our sister and brother-in-law, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our rooms were very comfortable and nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who were all excellent at their job, in particular, Dan our waiter and Angelina, restaurant manager (thanks to you both). The hotel was in a very good location for exploring, with a bus service right outside. It is definitely a place to visit and we would certainly recommend it. Thanks XXX

Hidden Gem

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed here and we will be back. Ideally situated for the Cotswolds and better still a bus stop outside the hotel. The staff are second to none attentive and professional at all times and they know what they are doing (trained). Food was nice with variety and room spacious overall a good experience and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel a definite jewel in the crown.

Can’t thank the wonderful staff enough, for their kindness. My husband was taken ill. And they were so good. From the brilliant reception staff, to the cleaning staff. I’ve never known such kind people. I’m missing the hotel already. To the lovely restaurant, and the different girls and boys that looked after us. To the comfortable bedrooms. Thank you all so much x

Brilliant Time

I have to make this comment as myself and my partner thoroughly enjoyed a self drive 4 night stay at the Charlecote Pheasant Hotel. The rooms and hotel facilities were great not to mention the excellent meals. The staff were first class at all times with a smile and made everyone feel looked after. The hotel is ideally placed for trips out with a bus service almost at the door. Recommend a visit.

This is, in our opinion the best shearing hotel we have stayed in. we have stayed in Coast and Country Hotels before, as well as their bay selection. Our room was in the farmhouse block we did upgrade. That said, the food was to a very high standard the dining room was modern clean but in a traditional coach house theme, the staff were so polite and nothing too much for them. This with the lovely setting of the area has made this holiday one of our best we will be returning here.

Take some beating

Stayed here week 7 - 13 Nov, fantastic location, good staff and a terrific room. On the 13 Nov I moved on to Stow on the Wold for a reunion at a so called 5 Star + Spa. Not a patch on the pheasant, and certainly not a 5 star experience. Thank you all the staff at the pheasant you are a credit and your hard work and friendly demeanour is a refreshing experience. We will be back you can bet on it.

Best one yet.....

This is the best Shearings hotel we have visited. You certainly don't need to waste money upgrading your room. Ours was a standard room in the annexe and our bedroom overlooked the tennis courts at the back of the hotel. We never saw anyone playing a game so it was very quiet although we wouldn't have been bothered if there had been. The room was very modern with a good selection of teas /coffees and biscuits. The staff were excellent, a good choice of menu and the location is wonderful.

Still need help?
