Following the delivery of forty five Setra coaches earlier this year, Shearings Group has confirmed an order worth over £10 million for a further 45 Setra coaches for 2010.
Announcing the deal, Shearings Chief Executive, Denis Wormwell, said: “We have been delighted with the coaches delivered earlier this year. Customer satisfaction levels have been exceptional, and the support from EvoBus has been second-to-none.
Wormwell added: “By investing in this new fleet of 45 Setra coaches, our aim is to provide an even more pleasurable experience for our customers as well as continuing to develop our coach offering across the group.”
Mike Beagrie, General Manager at Coventry-based EvoBus said: “This is another landmark deal for Setra, and is the perfect way to round off a fantastic year for the Setra brand, with our market share growing by a record-breaking 71% year on year.”
The order, due for delivery next April, will feature thirty Setra 13m S416 GT HD coaches - ten in Grand Tourer livery with 48 seats for Shearings’ European tour programme and twenty with 52 seats for Shearings’ UK holidays - plus fifteen Setra S415 GT HD 12.2m coaches with 48 seats for National Holidays.
